The Power of Presence: Why Self-Worth Doesn’t Need Notifications

We live in a world that constantly demands our attention. Every ping, every alert, every notification is designed to pull us away from the moments that truly matter. I recently decided to turn off the last of my notifications on my phone—yes, even the ones that celebrated every payment on my passion project.
At first, I thought those little “dings” were motivating. They were proof that my work mattered. But over time, I realized they were distracting me from something far more important: the pure joy of creating, contributing, and being present.
Here’s what I learned: only I can validate my self-worth. External signals—payments, likes, notifications—are temporary and shallow. They can never replace the deep fulfillment that comes from knowing, in your core, that you are living in alignment with your greatest calling.
There is a time for accounting and a time for celebration, but every day is a time for self-awareness.
Ask yourself:
Where is my energy going?
Where is it coming from?
When you tune in to these questions, you start to see your reality as a living, breathing system of contribution. You recognize the moments that truly fuel your energy: gratitude, fulfillment, happiness, and the knowledge that your work adds real value to others. That is the kind of “ding” that lasts.
I’ve shifted my focus entirely to adding value to the lives and endeavors of my clients and community. 🌎 That is where my energy goes, and that is where I find strength, purpose, and focus. The notifications may be gone, but the clarity and joy that come from being fully present in my mission? They are louder than any ping could ever be.
The lesson is simple: your external validation is optional. Your inner fulfillment is everything.
When you step fully into your calling, every day becomes a victory. Every moment, a chance to LIVEBIG.
